This was my fourth time at Kilt, and unfortunately, the experience keeps getting worse. The only good food here is the noodles and chicken—everything else is overpriced and not worth it. Service is a complete disaster. Three times now, I’ve seen the manager skip the queue for his friends, while paying customers are left waiting. On top of that, the restaurant is not clean, which makes the whole experience even worse. Definitely not coming back.

Excellent thai cuisine. Be forewarned many plates are spicy, but delicious. Reservations required for dinner. Centrally located in vibrant Soho district.

Probably the best best dining experience of my life. The food was perfect, service and watching skilled people doing their job all added to it. Well worth going and enjoying.

What a beautiful, delicious restaurant with the most wonderful staff. Absolutely worth the wait, the food is so tasty, its a great atmosphere seeing the chefs at work. Great music and a small but perfect formed menu that changes daily. I don't have any pictures as I was too busy enjoying the whole experience. I had a bit of a funny turn as we arrived where I thought I was going to faint and the staff could not of been more caring and understanding. Jumped straight into getting me some fresh air, a coke and a chair to sit. Continuously, genuinely checking if I was ok after that. I believe our server was called Gerry (or that's the name on our receipt) If so thank you so much! Will definitely recommend and will definitely be back again, hopefully next time less fainty! Thank you!

Super Nice welcome and the service was perfect. Food is amazing full of flavour. Be careful it can be a bit spicy if you are very sensitive, just advice them they can guide you. We had a great evening. Thank you!

The atmosphere in the open kitchen is great, watching the chefs juggle and multiple grilling stations and move clay pots and grilled meats around. They are very efficient! The food was good, the vermicelli clay pot was pretty delicious, the Shan broth was a bit too spicy and thick.

I walked in off the street at 9:30 and was seated almost at once—if you go late or early, the wait’s not as bad as they say. They’ve recently replaced the beloved chicken skewer with ‘gai yang’, essentially a more buxom cousin: pieces of bone-in chicken. It’s better than its previous version, if that’s possible. Also ordered a personal favourite, the wok fried greens, which supposedly are seasoned only with oyster sauce, soy bean and sugar. A perfect dish every time; they truly have mastered Wok Hei. And of course the clay pot crab meat noodles, which never, ever disappoint. 3 dishes, at one of London’s most in-vogue restaurants, smack bang in the middle of Soho, all for under £25. And soundtracked by immaculate selections on vinyl. The staff are a fantastic unit; they make diners feel so happy to be there. NOWHERE else does it like Kiln.

The food was enjoyable, however the menu advertised, as well as the one in the window when entering, was almost entirely different. Not a problem for me, but the selections were definitely a step down from the menus that convinced us to go there. The portions were rather small - we got a KFC on the way home. We were told to wait 90 minutes for a table, expecting a walk-in with a wait, and then stood in the restaurant awkwardly squashed with others waiting to be seated. We were there standing for nearly another 90 minutes without being offered a drink, before agreeing we’d leave. Suddenly, seats became available and we sat. The Grilled Rump Cap with Ubon Relish was lovely and the fat was rendered pleasingly. The relish paired well in an unexpected way. The Gai Yang with Smoked Chilli Relish was tender and the relish had a good amount of garlic - a win for me, and favourite of the night. The Som Tam of Radish and Beetroot had balanced flavours, although it lacked a bit of punch. Still a great dish The Jungle Curry was needlessly spicy, which left my girlfriend struggling (she is from Sichuan). We both eat very hot chillis and spice religiously, but these were just carelessly thrown in uncooked near to serving. Unfortunately, it completely took away from the flavours of the dish. Also, we only had one small piece of fish in amongst the bitter and watery curry. I’m sure it’s normally better than this, we must have been unlucky that evening. All in all, would recommend if you don’t mind killing some time waiting for a seat or portions that might leave you hungry if you don’t tend to over order!

Hardly any vegetarian options, food way too spicy (and it's pre-made not fresh so they can't change that) and no reason they can't just take bookings like most places in London! Overrated and not worth it at all.

Very disappointing. We waited for over two hours, and when we were finally seated, we were told they had run out of several key items on the menu—including the clay noodles. The wine was served in a refillable bottle rather than its original packaging. A very poor service overall, if they can’t provide the full menu and a good service, they shouldn’t be offering tables as late as 11 PM.

Great vibe. All the fire in the kitchen super nice. Smelled amazing. Waited for 2 hours to get a table. Not a problem. Waiting an hour inside while we were told our table was almost ready also no problem. Helped build the excitement. Once seated got rushed a bit. Most of personel friendly. Food went from insane to mwoa from dish to dish. Chicken insane but was mostly cartilage and bone. Great smokey flavour tho. Sai Oua was great. Greens also great. Smokey and unique. Jungle curry was a bit dissapoiting. Again mostly bones and head. Fookin spicy but thats why i ordered it. Good pricing, but while i ordered one last beer i got the bill shoved in my face and got a cunty remark from the bar guy that kinda pushed us out. After waiting a total of 3 hours we only got to spend 45 min inside. Also got charged for a dish that never came. The build up might have given me a bit of a unrealistic expectation but the bar guy ruined it for me. Rest of personel nice.

Great food , but clearly just another number towards waiters. Asked my wife to move from her seat because they thought she was just drinking(they had forgot her main) then when we finished they couldn’t wait to get us out

We were excited to try the Clay Pot Baked Glass Noodles because we’ve seen so many glowing reviews about it, but they don't do it anymore. Apparently, they change the menu every month, and I wonder why they would remove the popular dish from the menu. We tried their Northem Thai Herbal Soup of Stream Farm Hen which was just not good and super spicy. Their starters are good but everything is very pricey for the quantity you get and the place is very small and full of people.
